Agility: the power of moving quickly and easily; nimbleness.

How you move is who you are. By embodying the qualities of grace and agility in the physical practice, we open up the possibility to create beauty and power in our lives, in our relationships, in all that we do.

This series focuses on the practice of vinyasa; to place the body in a special way. We will work specificity into the path of the body through space, and through this attention to detail, explore how to move with effortlessness and speed throughout four weeks.

Each week will be a different theme, dividing up your vinyasa practice and putting the pieces together in the final week for the whole shebang.


Week One: Fundamentals of Flow & Variations on Vinyasa

In our first week together, we’ll break down the basic elements of the practice. We will focus specifically on Sun Salutations A & B, discussing different variations and modifications. We will explore the qualities of sthira and sukha, balancing the action in each pose for full body integration and full self expression. You’ll learn ways to add confidence to your practice and make choices to personalize your everyday practice.

Week Two: Grounding & Centering for Speed & Efficiency

With your body integrated and your mind present and focused, you can move quickly and safely. Discover how to use your body’s foundation and core to build muscle memory for efficient movement. We’ll discuss common places where integrity is lost, and how to keep it present. We will work mainly with the Grounding and Equanimity series in the Baptiste Journey Into Power flow, combining creative sequencing with speed to find a new edge.


Week Three: Slow & Intentional for Healing & Release

This week we’ll slow things down and balance power with ease and action with release. The practice will combine deep stretch poses with dynamic movement and intentional breath to access deep release. We’ll discuss what inspires your practice, and how to bring that passion to life on your mat. Cultivate trust in your body, purpose in your practice, and intuition in your actions.

Week Four: The Whole Shebang

In our final week, we’ll put all of the pieces together for a practice of creativity and self-expression! We’ll move fast and slow, we’ll bring power and ease, we’ll align all ways. We’ll even add in some fun arm balance options! This practice will be an opportunity for you to add in the tools you’ve gained and make choices to create YOUR practice. How you move is who you are; so show up and express YOU from the inside out!
