I grew up in two worlds: a traditional Hindu home and a western world outside. I did not know these two worlds would collide until I had a kidney transplant several years ago. It was all of the follow up doctor visits that led my feet to the steps of Yoga One. The more I practiced, my body became stronger and my mind became lighter. I realized not reacting during the asana practice led to a calm and steady life.
I am so grateful to be a part of this loving and powerful community, one that has helped me transform and empower my life. I am inspired to teach others that how they "live" on their mat is how they live in their lives.
In 2012, I completed Baron's Level 1 and Level 2. In that same year, I became a Yes. I made plans to complete my 500 hour teacher certification by facilitating a teacher training to 40 new Kenyan yoga teachers in Nairobi, Kenya with Africa Yoga Project.
