When I'm on my yoga mat it doesn't matter if things aren't perfect, my insecurities melt away with each breath. My practice is my time to feel alive, loved and free.
Yoga has been an incredible journey of self-discovery for me. I have learned to love and appreciate my body just the way it is. I have found joy in simple things. I have learned that a thankful heart is a happy one.
When I step off of my mat and back into the routine of my daily life, I feel strong and energized. I feel transformed on the inside and outside. My heart is full of joy and my spirit is peaceful.
I received my 230 hour certification through The Asheville Yoga Center in 2012 and look forward to deepening my practice and continuing my education by participating in the 200 hour Teacher Training at Yoga One.
People often tell me they can't "do yoga" because they are not flexible or they can't touch their toes. The truth is that yoga is for everyone, because it is just about moving your body with your breath, whatever that looks like.

was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
